The nature of reality is one that challenges all of us now that we are bound by the third-dimensional state by which our reality is perceived.
Like any dimension, this creates a boundary and constraint on what we can know about the other dimensions and how dimensions play a role in facilitating time/space and reality as a whole.
Suffice to say, everything can be reduced back down dimensionally to a singularity or a point. It is in understanding how a point, or singularity expands dimensionally that reveals how information propagates into higher dimensions exponentially, also how every dimension must rely on the first dimension as it's this recursive process of expanding into other dimensions that entangles the point/singularity into all other dimensions.
You remove the point, and every other dimension collapses as it is the point that props up the entire system. So we exist in a multi-dimensional frameworked reality where as Humans we are limited to the 3rd dimension and bound by three dimensional constraints.
In a digital Universe, all we need are two simple binary states: on/off, 0/1, yes/no to form the basis of a base 2 system of math and information.
This is easily achieved in the first dimension. In cellular, atomic and sub-atomic automata all that is needed is two or more objects to start forming a lattice which presents naturally occurring turn machines, a basic information system bound by predictable relationships mathematically when repeat paring forms a lattice.
From a single dimension, a simple binary system and automata we have the beginning of information processing and math that could then allow for information to evolve into 2nd, 3rd etc... dimensions.
The Universe can evolve from information. This means that digitally a Universe can be created by the same math and laws we find in computer science, as these laws are predictable and part of an already existing system that we as Humans are just currently rediscovering and putting into our language and sciences.
The Electron which John Wheeler describes in his One-Electron Universe hypothesis could be the same electron observed entangled everywhere in time/space and the Universe.
In Dimensional theory, this is akin to the "point" which must repeat itself from the zero dimension into all other dimensions to create volume etc. The point and electron could represent a predictable relationship with multi-dimensional math.
The electron in information theory can also be a base-class that is instantiated recursively throughout the entire program. A class object in computer code hence why every electron appears the same to Quantum physics.
We might think that physical systems have nothing to do with simulation, virtual reality or information processing however the more we look at the nature of dimensions, string theory, m-theory and digital physics... the more haunting the notion becomes that this reality may well in fact be a virtual simulation.
Craig Hogan based a prediction on the Holographic Principle that our Universe is a Hologram and that when the GEO600 long-range gravitational detectors would pick up gravitational waves, because the Universe is holographic in nature, the larger these waves become holographically would then produce a fuzziness or noise much like zooming into a JPEG would produce pixellation.
The experiment did in fact pick up Hogan's predicted noise and had many physicists scrambling to understand if Hogan's theory based on the Holographic Principle was correct, a revelation that would be a paradigm shifting event for science.
The more we reduce matter down to wave-function, the more digital and information based does matter seem to become. Wave-function and wave-function collapse present interesting arguments for how matter appears to render from a field of superposition and probability.
Wave-function is effectively a probabilistic system where actuality must collapse from all the probabilities and states of superposition that we can find sub-atomic particles in.
Such particles also showing particle/wave duality where an electron, photon etc can be both a particle or a wave. A paradoxical discovery from the 1930's during the Double-slit experiment.
How then is our "Physical World" the result of information processing, if this would be the case then an external reality needs to exist to run the simulation.
That means, another reality exists outside this one which props it up.
A very good example of this idea of virtual reality stems from your own very brain and what happens when you dream.
Dreaming is a living example of virtual reality simulation. The dream world is constructed by the brain as the outside force which props up the dream virtual reality. In the dreamworld everything that you experience is merely data and thought organized into visual experience called a dream.
The act of dreaming itself proves virtual reality simulations can exist in nature. That the Universe has already evolved living virtual reality simulators that can produce vivid virtual dream worlds. All the laws that govern the math, predictions and dimensional theory would exist also in a dreamworld as it would a computer simulated world, or a world bound by geometry and dimensions.
All of this can be reduced down to simple properties of information processing and theory.
Recursively, dreams can also come true. People have over the historic record reported dreaming something that one day later comes true. Deja Vu and Deje Reve are examples of this in modern literature and science. You yourself may have had dreams that have come true.
This further supports the idea that dreams which are virtual reality simulations scale up with the Universe as potentially part of a Cosmic dream and actualize as "physical" events.
The fact is, dreams are created phenomena by the mind of a dreamer. The fact some can come true suggest this Universe is also part of a larger scaled up "Dream" or "simulation".
The evidence for simulation and virtual reality is everywhere if you know how to look for it. If you are really trying to find out who is creating all of this reality, then you must start where it becomes most evident.
You.
